Has anyone installed a reverse camera in their mk2?
I'm thinking of doing it and would like to see where you've put them. I was thinking of removing the boot lock barrel and putting it there if possible and it will work being off centre.
As I'm sure you're aware, the visibility while trying to reverse park is terrible unless you have other cars to judge by. Half the time my car looks abandoned in the work carpark!

WTF!
Sorry, i have to completely disagree. Plenty of visibility using mirrors, the car is short, square corners and a wing on the back telling you where the rear finishes.

Amen to that. The only difficulty when reversing I find is when you can't see the boot lid to get the distance, which clearly isn't the case in a 2.

Can't say I've ever had issues trying to park my '2. My daily Honda Accord is worse to park.
I don't think any one has installed one or had the need too?

I can park between cars no problem. But I can't see the white lines without lowering one of the side mirrors which is painfully slow!
Front and back are no problem thanks to the spoiler and headlights, but it always seems to be wonky in the space if there isn't a car in an adjacent space to judge it off!
I can definitely live without - I'm used to driving vans so sticking my head out the door is second nature. But the screens already there so I'm considering sticking one in.

I take my comment back then
I'm intrigued now. Have you got more details in a build thread?

I am contemplating fitting a camera on the rear window surround (above high level brake light) once my F40 cover is on to go with the camera on the front splitter, to see if I will clear speed bump

Save yourself the time and the money and just open the door and look at the floor once parked.
or don't reverse park.

I mounted mine in number plate in the curve of 2 which happens
To be top Centre of number plate, can't be seen until your up close
