May I start of by saying that my Optoma HD70 has lasted for quite a long time but once again, I'm afraid to say, the colour wheel has gone BooOoOom. I'll get it fixed but WON'T sell it on ebay.
So off I went and grabbed myself a nice Optoma HD600X-LV (Not bothered with 1080p just yet): Here is a picture of the back.

Dammit. No component input like the HD70. The room I'm in is quite long so I'd planned to have the Wii to the right middle, the sensory extended to the far end on top of the middle speaker and the long 6.5M Wii component cable to the projector. Madness.
Has anyone tried one of those hdmi converter thingies? I could also run the standard wii cable into my amp but would still need a 6.5m video cable :/

It's not a sensor, it's just a bar with 2 infrared LEDs in it, you can get battery powered ones (it's what I use with my projector) just remember to go into settings and tell the Wii it's below the screen.

How is everything else connected to the projector? what amp are you using, is it an AV amp?

It is an av amp. DAMN complicated as well. I did think about that but the amp is right next to the wii in the middle of the room.
The wireless sensor bar will resolve the problem
