Water pump for 4a-ge engine.

Post by ldavies83 »

I've seen a water pump on ebay for a corolla 1600 / 1800 TE 71,72,2T,2TB,3T,3TC eng Aug 1979-Feb 1985.

Would it fit the MR2 4a-ge engine?

Mines making an odd noise, and I'm doing a timing belt/tensioner pulley replacement soon anyway.

How much? They're not too pricey from autojapspares IIRC £40ish.

Personally I wouldn't want to risk it.

Well thats it, currently £5 and there are 3 of them all brand new unipart accessories. I was going to buy one from AutoJapSpares, and I think your right. Damn I wish they had an online price catalogue, I've left my catalogue at home!

Doubt it - the 'T' family engines have a totally different block from our 'A' family ones

IIRC I paid about £30 for one from Fensport

going on the different part numbers those engines you listed use compared to the 4age one, i would say no it will not fit.
