Hi,
I am nearly ready to take the head off my engine now. Before I took the cam belt off the cam gears I aligned the Crank Shaft Pulley to 0 degrees TDC and checked that everything lined up correctly.
It looked like both cams marks were slightly to the left in side the head and also slightly to the left outside the head (TDC was dead on 0).
Is it possible for the car to run smoothly like this or is that correct? I always thought that the marks should line up exactly?
Cheers,
Paul.

Re: Cam belt/Pulleys/Timing Marks - HELP!
The timing marks do have a bit of give, my rev 2 ones were not perfect and neither are my rev 3 and both ran fine, you would know if you were a tooth out as it would run crap. In my opinion the timing marks are crap, its just abit of bent metal!
I mark the little bit of bendy out metal with tip-ex, and mark the tooth on the edge of the pulley with the mark on the cam, then use the tip-ex marks to time it up, its easier like that as it stands out more.
