Nowt wrong with that combo IMO. :)

T1Rs are ok, by no means the best available but they are OK. Did a track day at bedford in a friends RX7 running T1R's, they weren't as squidgy on the limit as some people make out.

Either way for me it wouldn't be bridgestones or toyos, it'd be Yoko Advan AD08 :thumleft:

Well each to their own, but silver with red interior is seriously. :-:

These kind of cars are really sensitive to tyres, that's why OEM is best if you can get them. You don't want to affect the balance of the car and sticking 'sticky' tyres on is a sure way of ruining that.

Though I understand that some prefer grip over handling.

The AD08 isnt about grip over handling, its an enthusiast tyre in the same vein as the OE Bridgestone, progressive breakaway, stiff sidewall and good wet weather behaviour.

Must be a good reason why Lotus chose it for a number of Elise models, the AD07 were excellent on my 2. :)

Fair enough, but the OEM tyre was designed specifically for the NSX and DC2.

Indeed, though from what I understand the RE010 is rather tough to find these days, and its more recent versions are only readily available in the US and Japan.

Edit: was sure this topic had come up before

Yep you know my pain then! Mark stuck poxies T1-Rs on it. Wasn't impressed with them at all. Sold the car after that.
