Hi all,
Sorry to start a new thread on this same topic (see previous topic - Failed MOT).
Car failed MOT again today because exhaust emissions are still too high (CO 0.5% - should be 0.3%). After 2 diagnostic checks (including all sensors), the garage removed and identified a problem with the cat converter.
I was thinking of buying a second-hand cat converter (as I have been quoted £680 for a new one) but am a bit wary.
Does anyone know where would be the cheapest place to get a OEM replacement or does it have to from Mr T?
I had considered a cat by-pass pipe but would rather keep that part standard.
Any suggestions where I can go from here?
Thanks
Arleen

Try this site, I got a standard clutch from them, much cheaper than MrT.
