Another Tubby to the Netherlands.

Post by dutch_ed »

My first MR2 was a SW20 n/a build in 1992. After three Years I wanted more power. I decided to look out for a Turbo. First I was searching for a US Turbo. I only find Turbo’s with a lot of mileage and not younger then 1993.
A member and also a friend of me (Edwin) of the Dutch MR2 club just bought a 1994 Turbo and invited me for a test drive. Now I know what I wanted. A Japanese Turbo. That’s how it all started.

It was a hard way to search and find a very good MR2 Turbo. But if you are patient you get what you want.

I just bought a black rev. 3 1995 GT Turbo coupe with all the luxury you can think off (also TRC, EBD and ABS) and take it home to Holland. I saw it on this site and everything goes very fast.

The seller lives in Nottingham, so I decided to fly over for a test drive. Together with a friend of mine we checked the whole car. What a beauty!! And what a great enjoy it was to hear and feel the Turbo. :P
The same day we take at night the ferry from Hull, back to Holland. Now I have to wait the get registration and drive!! This will happened on the 20th of June.

It is the first 1995 and the 4th rev.3 Tubby in Holland. It seems that we discovered the real MR2’s. :D

For a impression see the pics.

Checking all the way around.

OK thanks, I'll keep it this way for now. Next time I'll take a smaller dimension.
