Removing Japanese-spec side repeaters
How to remove the Japanese-spec side repeaters and replace them with the UK-spec ones.
Japanese Spec Side Repeater Removal / UK Spec Side Repeaters
by Trevor Mensah

The japanese side repeaters (incorporated in side strips) are not obvious to remove without a little investigation.

1. Remove Front Wheel for access

2. Remove plastic wheel inner lining, or losen the bolts/screws to the point where you can get in your socket wrench.

3. Use a torch and look behind the repeater, You will notice three bolts. Unbolt them.

4. Remove front indicator light assembly. This is easy to do with a flat butter knife in between the centre of where the light assembly goes and the reflector lens. (see fitting clear front indicators guides on the net if you have difficulty doing this). They are cliped together and when you prize it fowards they pull out quite easily. I can now remove them in seconds. Once you've remeoved the indicator lenses you can unscrew the philips screw which is the last thing holiding on the jap spec indicator. These can finally be removed once you unclip (twist) the bulp assembly from behind.

5. Fit new uk spec side strips.

6. Drill holes in wings using a template stencil, rust proof and touch up paint from behind also!

7. Fit uk spec side repeaters.
