Any Herts members up for meet?

Post by HighwayStar »

Hey all.
Just moved down to Wheathampstead to spend more time with the g/f. I used to go to Cambridgeshire meets and am wondering what/who is close by now for a spot of tyre kicking and exhaust appreciation!
Anyone out there?

Hello there Rob

Hi my name is Dave and I saw you on sunday about 11.30 in haperendon area, sorry I didnt wave or flash as I was on my advanced motorist driving lesson.
I am based down in Mill Hill but can often be found in the lower hertfordshire areas. There is a regular meet at the red lion pub in Hemel on the first tuesday of every month.
I can mainly be found on mr2oc but am often onhere in the parts section, I look forward to seeing you around and feel free to PM me for details of members around your way

Heya Dave, thanks for the reply. So first Tues of every month eh? May have to pop along to the Dec. meet then and say hello. Is the Dec meet confirmed do you know?
Nice car you have there by the way, rev1s all the way! Just out of interest how difficult was it to change the front splitter? Many have told me it's a bit of a bu88er to get the old one off though I'm still not decided if I'm going to swap mine over, may keep the 'round' look.

Here is the link to the monthly meet.
http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=76549
It is a nice monthly meet as we have a car park just for 2's and a room so he can have a chat and a bite to eat as well, a couple of months ago we got 14 2's turn up, so hopefully should be quite big in the summer next year
The rev3 splitter was a bit of a pain but worth it for sure pm me and we can chat more dude, I have a couple of tips and might even be able to come and give you a hand doing it if you want

I might be up for the SE meet as there is nothing else near me (North Essex). Will probably get Chr15py and Fozzy Rev3 down from Cambs too.

The Red Loin pub in hemel is the correct one, and tuesday the 4th of december is the right date. I normally get there for 7.30ish have a catch up with some old friends and try to make friends with the new people, then a pint and a bit of food which it is lovely

Nice to meet you all... can't remember all your forum names yet but thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable night. Good to see Europe's only v6 tubby, looking forward to hearing it once the exhaust is sorted. Nice retrim too by the way. Miche picked up the mk3 this morning and we've just driven back so maybe another option to ogle next mth (the car that is).
Thanks for introducing us to the gang Oddshoes, maybe worth considering a w/e meet sometime while winter is still here so we can actually see the cars and I'll do some photos for all...?
Cheers again.
