Aerial doesn't retract fully!?!?!

Hi Ya'll,

The Aerial on my 1994 MR2 goes only part of the way down, segments seem to be sticking?
Tried wd40 and a bit of persuation while it's going up and down but it doesn't seem to help.

Can any of you?

the aerial has nylon teeth on the mast that go round a cog wound by the motor.. The nylon teeth are probably chewed up... You don't need a whole aerial motor assembly just the mast itself. Its not a terrible job to install yourself, web instructions are about somewhere.
