WOW! this poor thing is in a scrapyard. came in this morning while i was there nicking bits off another mr2

its a mk1b T-bar in what looks a unfinished resto project.

the hard works done! its got new panels all round and its got loads of interior and exterior trim everywhere inside it.

its engine is complete. just looks like someone lost heart.

ive just pleeded with the guy not to put it on the heap and he said he wont.

he said he would let it go for 150 notes without the alloys !

the idea of a mk1 with good body work that needs only a little bit of finishing being turned into bake bean tins is making me sick

if anyone want to know anything let me know. im REALLY tempted but ive gotta get my dolomite sprint back on the road.

Wow! Can't believe that's in a scrapyard!
The seats look unusual - particularly for a 1b. Do they look like they've just recently been reupholstered or something?
Did you get a chance to see what the underneath looked like in terms of condition?

The number plate in the windscreen looks like it's a 'D' plate which are a bit transitional. Looks like it's just got mk1a seats in a mostly mk1b car.

If you bought that car for £150 I'd be very surprised if the front wings alone didn't get you your money back. Although if all the body work is done and it's structurally sound you'd be better off finishing it and either keeping it or selling it on for a nice profit.
