lil red button?

:oops: ive just got my first mr2 and i love it but what is the little red button next to my gear stick for its a 1991 auto import the bloke i got it from didnt know either it dont seem to do anything i pressed it with the hope it would shoot my girlfriend out the roof but no such luck!!

It's something to do with a sports mode for the auto box I recall. Or it could be economy mode...

one of the two anyway.

no smokescreen for gastsos or oilslicks for tailgaters either unfortunately...

It allows you to change gear without pressing on the brake.

I have an auto and it is specifically for moving it out of Park when you do not have the engine running.

Why would you want to do this? Try getting the front facia off with moving it to Low.
