It may be a silly question, but I've seen an advert for a REV3 for sale, but it's on a J plate.
Is this possible? I thought they were released in 1994 onwards!?!?
Your help is much appreciated.

Re: REV 3 Question
It's 93' onwards.....
Are you sure it's not a private plate?
If not, it's easy to tell if it's a rev3.
Paul.

Re: REV 3 Question
Yeah, check the usual signs like you said they could have been changed....as you have mentioned +
Check the labels on the seatbelts, they have the year on.
Check the VIN number.....There is a list of VIN's and years that they were made somewhere......I'm sure someone has it still.

Re: REV 3 Question
possibly not....the year of import could have been pu down as the first registration date....The only way to tell is from the VIN I think.
However, an HPI may show if the year of registration has been changed...
But check the VIN first!!
Where is it advertised? give us a link and I'm sure we could have a look?

I'm sure there was a post on the old forum about how can a rev3 be on an L plate and it not be a rev2 - so I think it's L regs that have both rev2 & 3s.
And here seems to confirm it:
http://web.archive.org/web/200302171903 ... ision3.htm
Nov 1993 -> Dec 1993 - '93 L reg
Dec 1993 -> Aug 1994 - '94 L reg
Aug 1994 -> Jul 1995 - '94 M reg
Jul 1995 -> Aug 1995 - '95 M reg
Aug 1995 -> Oct 1995 - '95 N reg
So the rev3 came out 3 months after the end of K plates.
