Remote Central Locking

Hey All,

Just a quick one to see if anybody might of upgraded their standard C/L to R/C/L and if you did what kit did you use and how easy was it.?

Well, there's central locking on the 2 as normal. And an aftermarket alarm/immobiliser will be have remote locking. I've got a clifford 300. I don't think I've ever put the key near the precious paint work!!

Yeah i did it on my mk1 when i fitted my alarm/immob... its not that hard if you have a multimeter and are reasonably confident using it. You've just got to find which wire does what when the key is turned i.e. a wire will prob go -ve when the door is locked and a different one will go -ve when unlocked. Just tap into these wires with your remote central locking kit and thats it

Fitted a central-locking alarm myself, the wires are easy to find mate, email me if your stuck
