i went to halfords they dont instock them, do i have to go to Mr T to buy it or any cheap place to do the mail order

my car 91 turbo

Oil filters are not megabucks, buy it from MrT

Try Fensport if you're anywhere near them, the have all Blueprint parts for that sort of thing.

They're just round the corner from me so that's where I used to go.

Just get the proper stuff! MR T.

theres no point in skimping on a few quid for a low cost part that is so important! I know of a neighbor that bought an aftermarket filter and the valve failed causing oil starvation, leading to 20 bent valves.

Not worth it IMO

theyre only about £7 from Toyota

are tubby & n/a filters the same? i'm gonna do an oil change in Jan.

No, they're actually different. The turbo has a bypass valve in the bottom of it in case the filter gets clogged - the NA filter doesn't have this.

No, they are different. The turbo has an oil bypass valve that the NA filter does not have.

They do have the same bottom fitting - I'm running a Turbo filter (as I have a few spare) on my Mk1 at the moment.

thanks m8, i'll find the part number for the tubby filter on the EPC :)

Don't need an EPC for that.

I've bought so many I know it off by heart. Sad eh.

Also u can get ur car a xmas gift by getting TRD filter!! It cost more but its a nice gift for ur love 1 :D
