Rev 1 New brakes

Post by Pete »

Hi All

I need to change the discs and pads all round on my Rev 1 NA. I also need new calipers for the rear as one of them is shot, so i thought i should replace both sides.

Can anyone recommend a decent upgrade at this stage before i go spending, and what should i do about the rear calipers? Pagid pads have been recommended to me and the discs fensport offer. Could this be an opportunity to fit bigger brakes (maybe rev2/turbo or GT4??).

Most importantly, would this be too expensive when compared to the results I would achieve from standard replacements? I already have braided hoses fitted and changed to dot 5.1 fluid.

Cheers
Pete

Definately change to rev2+ set up as they work so much better. I'd consider changing the fronts to match at some stage too though. I use the pagids and find them very good.

I got some Black Diamond disks and Pagid pads from Fensport (my standard ones kept warping) and its the best money I have spent on my MR2.

Highly recommended!
