We got great roads for DRIVING on not sitting in traffic , great views for when the car needs a break AND we have none of that watered down p1sh you laughingly call lager AND the pubs stay open past 11pm!!

However, though i may hail from sarf of the water, I now live in darkest Macclesfield.

Strange place that it is, its one redeeming feature is that i'm a five minute drive from the infamous Cat & Fiddle (the most dangerous road in the UK).

I like it up north well enough. I have lived all over really and one town/city is much like another, but I miss the buzz that is London.

yeah well you can keep it! I'll take the fresh air of the highlands the open roads of the highlands which are only 60 minutes drive away then its just sheer bliss

Southern girls are alright, just the blokes that hang about them are completely doughnuts!

Ah...I'm the opposite. How nice it is now to drive on roads properly...i.e. anything over 40mph without getting stuck in traffic all the time.

I still think people talk funny up here (or down here, depending where you're from).

Granted Allan the air is fresh, but the weather is appauling, all the sheep have legs shorter on one side due to leaning into the wind, roads are always wet ( not good for MR2 driving, ask Ammon ) and all those twisty roads that used to be fun driving along all have Gatso's now & extra patrols , and slightly further south you have "THE ANGEL OF THE NORTH" !! whats that all about ?? i know why its so bloody big......... to stop geordies nicking bits off it and selling them on ebay

3 days and we have a North vs South already

I've done the London thing a few times, most memorable things were getting black snot for a day or so afterwards, paying far too much for drinks, paying far too much for the cinema in Leicester Square and getting Chinese food really cheap.... it's an entertaining place to visit but I couldn't live there for long. Spent a fair bit of time in Kent when we had a spare house there, it was OK down that way with the coast in easy reach but they don't have real sausages in the chip shops - WTF is a savloy?

At the other side Bristol and Bath were nice enough but the people are a bit backward....

I'm being too balanced here I think.

North gets my vote as I'm obviously not going to vote for a location I don't live in but like everywhere it has it's fair share of retarded scum, luckily most are localised so you can avoid them by sticking to specific places.

Went to Scotland once, that was a bit too north, the pigeons looked funny.

They don't half talk funny down south, I remember when I was really young and I went to a shop and they tried to sell me bread rolls instead of rolos, that was messed up, I was only a child damnit!!
