Hi Goto10 (Brings back memories of BASIC :D )

My new toy is M plate, Dark Blue and stock, 85k on the clock so not bad mileage !
VGC with the exception of 4 very low in tread tyres !

Looking for any good suggestion on tyres as it goes so any hints and tips would be
gratefully recieved.

Not to worried about cost, end of the day its all i've got between my bum and the road !

My friends call me Steve, so for now you can continue calling me Goto10 or Sir ;)
I use Goodyear F1 GSD3, I assume you're on stock rims - I've heard tales of these tyres de-laminating on track days, but for road use I've been very happy with them.
I'm sure searching for tyre info on here will bring up far more info than you can chew!
You're at the start of a very slippery slope if you start modding, I think all tubby owners start with the line "I doubt I'll mod it, it's got plenty of power as it is"... :D

Hehe, you folks have definetly lost it

Took me a few mins to realise what you meant about 'voting for'

Aye, the new toy is certainly spritely, not used to Rwd, the coupe was Fwd but was
modestly modified, the GBox issues kept coming back though which sort of wore me
a bit thin on replacing Steel caged bearings at 400 notes a rebuild.

I've not heard much bad about the Mk2 imports other than "Watch the 'arris end"
to which i assume they can catch you unaware.

On a serious note though, nice to chin wag with the pair of you, i'm certainly looking forward
to getting this machine into tip top shape.

I like the sound of GYear F1's, pricey if i remember rightly, but mid point for wear and grip.
Stock rims im afraid Goto10, i still have a couple of K's set aside so i might pick myself
up some aftermarket rim's and burry the stocks in the old garden shed were they
can chat to my spare PG1's
