MK1.5 gauging interest and value

Post by mk1bexwa »

Hi All

I am thinking of selling the 2. I use it everyday for work but the road to get there is beyond rubbish and to be honest I don't want to ruin the car.
If no-one is interested or she's only worth £1000 then i will keep her, but would rather her go to someone who can have some fun with her and look after her.

So here goes:

She is a 1989 MK1 MR2, originally in red but now in cadbury purple. Also originally a 1.6 4age but now a 2.0 3sgte (rev 2).

I got her back out in June 17 after finally completing the conversion.
Apart from the conversion she has both a Blitz air filter and a Blitz nur spec r exhaust, full poly bush suspension and engine mounts, BC coilovers, ST205 front brakes with calipers and rev2 turbo calipers on the rear, ally rad, battery relocated to the boot, 16 inch alloys (tyres were brand new in June 17), Rage bucket seats, Momo steering wheel, powdercoated suspension arms and rocker cover, turbosmart dump valve, green silicon hose kit, purple samco water hose kit, woodsport engine cover.

Before she was stored she had both rear arches repaired (with the 3 piece panels) and a full respray and T-bar seals replaced.
Sills were welded up just before the MOT last year.
Undersealed also before going back on the road.

Loads more pictures available if people want to see.
Here is the link to my original thread but due to photobucket the pics no longer work. I have all the photos still and am happy to send them.

Always been tempted by a 1.5, especially a tbar. Have you got a price in mind?

I really don't know what she's worth. I've seen them sell from 3000 to 7000.
Happy to send more information if anyone wants it.

Hard to value these things, judging by what has been available recently and what is available if you know the right people, I’d say this sits at a comfy £4k value. Glwts looks a decent build.
