[Mk2] [Turbo] clutch release bearing

Post by rossonza »

whilst my cars having its engine swapped i was going to replace the clutch release bearing.

Any shops in the UK have it for under £40? TCBParts have it online for ~£22 but unfortunately out of stock.

Cheers
Ross.

Why not replace with a whole clutch kit? Bit more expensive but at least you know the whole clutch assembly has been replaced?

This :thumleft: , it's common practice and sense to do this as it could save so much money in the event the clutch does slip in the future.
My car had it's gearbox out recently and the previous owner swapped the clutch and flywheel because when it does go it's an 11 hour job and money saved in the long term, (wasn't for him incidently) but for me it's great news 8)

thanks guys, the car had a recent stock clutch fitted about 1000 miles before it was dumped in a field (so ive been told). ive asked my engine swap guy to take a look at the clutch plates and advise though first. either way i wanted to sort the clutch release bearing out :thumleft:

Get an OEM one. Pretty much all the aftermarket ones are junk.
