Hi All,
Just looking for some advice please. My 2 has been gathering dust for over a year and now I have decided to sell it as we will be moving house next year.
Do I...
1. Break it and sell, What do you do with the chassis when the sellable bits have gone ie wheels etc.
2. Do I spend money getting it running and MOTed then sell it?
Regrettably I just left it sat in the garage and didn't trickle charge it or move it.
Any advice welcome.
Link below to the car from when I bought it originally.

Assuming it's been in a dry garage and there was nothing broken when you put it away, I'd be tempted to charge the battery and see if it starts. You could even chuck it in for an MOT - if it passes, great, and if it fails you can decide if it's worth the hassle to fix whatever is needed. If not, you've got a decent list to stick in the eBay ad for when you list it

Better to replace bits that you can sell with stock and sell as a full car if its rot free imo.

Should you decide to start it pull the plugs out and wind it over on the starter first, this should get some oil pressure.
These old Toyotas are amazing and given fresh fuel and a decent battery it might just fire straight up... you don't want that to happen without any oil pressure.

Couple of questions:-
Where are you located?
would you be open to offers as it stands?

Start it up, put an MOT on it. It might be that simple, so give it a go

Looking at your thread that would be worth a lot more in just bits.
Take off the key parts (wheels, suspension, spoiler, lights, seats, interior etc and ditch the rest.
IMHO that is. Shame to throw one in the bin but it'll get you more money I possibly think.

That was easier than I expected, running like a dream now. Next step MOT.
Then the hard decision of selling it.

Well, After a bit of a tidy up and a wash its running nicely and looks fantastic.
I've decided (to much relief) that I am going to keep her for the foreseeable future.
Just detected a very slight oil leak from the sump area which I need to investigate further.
Any recommendations on which insurance company to use?

Excellent news!
I usually ended up with Adrian Flux or A-Plan (Thatcham) for my interesting cars.
