[Mk2] [Turbo] Clutch change - What else to do at the same time

Post by meggs88 »

I need to get a new clutch along with new inner drive shaft boots, was just wondering if there's anything else that should get done/changed at the same time that might be easy to access?

Car is Rev 3 turbo that's been stored up since september

Any help much appreciated

crankshaft oil seal on engine

both driveshaft oil seals

change the fluid in the clutch system

inspect the shifter bearings at the gearbox end

also the little metal block on the shift arm, it can just be turned 90* so the unworn sides are now in use.

Inspect the front and rear engine mounts, they wear faster than the side ones.

Inspect the CV joints inner and outer.

All I can think of now other than the obvious things like clutch, pressure plate, release bearing (use toyota bearing!!) and oil.
