Misfire diagnosis thoughts needed!

Post by Caleb-mr2 »

Hey,

I'm interested in what you all think could be the cause of this misfire.
It's a guy I knows rev5 turbo.

So the car has been sat up for a few months and apparently ran good before then. Recently he changed three of the four spark plugs because one of them is hard to get too....... I know ridiculous lol. Do you think it could be to do with the fact the other spark plug wasn't changed?? Maybe he annoyed an ht lead?

It's rough on start up and misfires if that helps diagnosis.
Any thoughts on what the problem could be welcome

Cheers

If its been sitting it may well be the fuel
Drain the fuel and replace with some nice new Vpower or the like

Sounds like it's missing I'd check the spark plugs ie switch the old one with a new one that wasn't replaced. Check and replace dizzy plus rotor. And then I'd say because it's been sat awhile just drive it if possible.

Are the HT leads connected in the right order?

Maybe they were put back wrong during the spark plug change.
