What bush is this?

Post by SeanSw20 »

Does anyone know where to get the bushes for the arms or what they are called? It is a rev 3 and i need the inner bushes seen in this pic? Also are all these arms the same between revs or are they different?

They aren't bushes, they are bearings. AFAIK they are not replaceable, you get them as a complete inner assembly. Probably still available from Toyota.

There are aftermarket replacements but these are typically rose jointed and not ideal for a road car really.

There are two different types of arm (and subframe) - Rev1 and Rev2+.

That's a Rev2+ subframe in your photo.

Thanks for quick reply so what do I do? There is loads of play in the arm. Not really looking to spend loads on it.

So are they bushes or bearings?

It's a spherical bearing.

The one on the hub side can be replaced, but the replacement part is not actually an MR2 one so you either have to sleeve it or drill out your tie rod by a couple mm and use a bigger bolt.

I've never seen a replacement for the inner tie rod bearing, happy to be proven wrong there though.
