Na to turbo shell swap?

Post by paulharry »

Hi
My question is
Can I take all my parts off my rev2 turbo and transfer them straight onto a na shell
I've got the foam of death rot and the back rear panel has rotted through as well
I might just buy a good na shell if it's just a case of changing parts
Could I swop the bits onto a na tintop as well

The problem is it be hard to find a shell that dont need no work.
Id say it would be less hassle to just cut out and repair the rot.

Panels can be bought and welding isnt hard, just need the right kit and practise.

As above. Lot cheaper to cut out rust and repair the sills.

Cut rust out and repair. depending on how far it has gone and the condition of the rest of the shell

Yeah that's what I'll do
I've got the sill repair panels already and I've been and cut a rear quarter panel from a doner car
Just thought it might be less hassle to swop bits over
Thanks for replying
I'll let you no how it get on
