Ok so just wonder what others have done/seen with regards to modifying a ST205 chargecooler coolant supply/return for fitment in a mr2.
I've only had it pretty much sat on the cam cover to check for clearance under my strut brace but it was painfully obvious without going any further there is a clearance issue with the MR2 cooling system and the location of cooling pipes on the chargecooler itself.
If need be I can get the hard pipes/cut rewelded as required as i'd prefer a more 'proper' install than flat out bodge.

Interested in this also.
Partly because the guy I bought mine off thought best to chop one of the lines and fit PVC pipe into a bit of hose....

Come on then lets have a look how not to do it....

Yeah with 90% of all the image links dead. Edit: didn't realise you already mentioned about images.
I see the way it was done there was just looking to see if anyone had done it another way.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Modifying ST205 chargecooler coolant outlets
I heated up the chargecooler pipes and twisted them round 15 degrees, so they were parallel to the coolant pipe.

I was contemplating redoing the lot like this. Granted that is the BOV flange and charge pipe.
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Modifying ST205 chargecooler coolant outlets
Well I suppose that pvc pipe did it's just but yeah not a very elegant solution.
What's going on there with the bov flange and chargepipe? was it not lining up with your install?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Modifying ST205 chargecooler coolant outlets
That's not mine but I am doing it in a similar manor for a better fitment of the BOV. It's a next year job when I fit the new engine
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Modifying ST205 chargecooler coolant outlets
I'll need to mod the chargepipe on mine as my compressor outlet will be clocked slightly to accommodate my manifold.
Shinny was looking at one of those AVT chargecooler radiators which you fit, was weighing it up against one from frozenboost as either way i'll be shipping to Aus. The AVT looks very nice

I'll sort that out. I noticed the other day, it's because I've moved the website to a case-sensitive host.

I did this, with the addition of a dowel inside the pipes to stop it from kinking as I moved them. Worked perfectly for the last 5 years or so

+1 for this, it is the easiest way to move it, requires a couple of attempt to not over do it but easily done.
Also if you haven't already got a pre-rad the AVT radiator is excellent, very high quality and a great size for the install. The Bosch pump they do as well is very good.

I can confirm that the Radtec Chargecooler rad is also excellent and they make an MR2 specific version.
You're best dealing direct with them, PM me for details
