Trusted Garages in West Sussex?

Post by janders1993 »

Hi all,

As the title asks, anyone in the Chichester (or surrounding west Sussex) area have a preferred garage to go to that i should know about?

4AGE is a pretty simple beast to work on but if anything comes up that i cant do myself I want to know there is a trusted bloke behind the spanner in the guts of my car haha.

Add performance in foundry lane Horsham are meant to be top dollar. Specialise on exotic cars but labour reasonable and proper old school mechanics that don't mess about.

janders1993, most of the stuff on the MK1 you should be able to do yourself, its a lot easier if you have the BGB (Big Green Book - Toyota's own manual for the car). If you don't have a copy let me know, I am off to Bognor on Sunday and might be able to drop you in a CD copy.

Otherwise, you will find if you are half competent with spanners, you can deal with it yourself. I have no formal mechanical training and I cope, the only thing I really struggle with is welding.
I am going to live forever, or die trying!

Go to the 'No new messages' link to send PM's.

You can download the BGB easy enough.

On the MR2OC there is a link:

I thoroughly recommend Keen & Betts in Worthing. Great service, free courtesy car, and ex Toyota Mechanic.

Mine was in for MOT last week and as I left a MK1a white over grey pulled in.
