will a fuel cut defender removed from my rev 2 work on my rev3 i am getting differing answers but need a conclusive answer

No, a fuel cut defender fiddles with the MAP sensor voltage. On a Rev 2 that's fine as the MAP sensor is only used to drive the stock boost gauge and for fuel cut.
On a Rev 3 the MAP sensor is the primary sensor used to determine fueling, fiddling with that is very dangerous. Using fuel cut defender designed for a Rev 2 on a Rev 3 will cause the engine to run lean, resulting in engine damage.
