[Mk2] [NA] Usual active speaker whine/noise but goes when you flick the heater on/off??

Post by mk2too »

I will bin the whole system one day but its more a case now of just educating myself as I've spent so long on the darn thing.

I've had the speaker whine coming from my active system (no surprise) searched every post on here, MR2OC and the us owners club, worked out its do with earthing the RCA's etc.

Then realised it could be do with the pin out on the autoleads ISO etc, ended up just bypassing the iso for the RCA's and cured the problem.

however, every day when the car starts the speaker noise is there, but if i flick the heater from on/off quickly the noise goes for the rest of the journey??

Could anyone electrical please educate me on why this is happening? Does flicking it on/off cause a spike which then earths the system??

Thank you,
