Thought I would post up the strip and rebuild of my Turbo engine which had seized on me.
I've made some videos so far.Have taken the engine out and stripped it.
Turns out basically all of the crank bearings have gone presumably due to oil starvation or quality issues. Now looking at getting the crank reground at least. Has anyone had this done in Croydon/Sussex area? I've been quoted £25 per journal and I need all 9 doing. Looks like there's not so many engine reconditioning places around any more.Also going to take the head off and inspect the bores
+ pistons and rings. Looks like pistons with rings can be had reasonably cheaply.Ok, haven't posted enough to post links, but will do.
