Hi everyone. The start of a new year has got me thinking again.
Maybe it's time I should part with my extremely clean, 50k miles 1994 Rev 3 Tin top turbo.
I have owned this car since June 2003 when it landed on these shores. It has spent its life as a summer only toy and has only seen rain 5 times in it's life! The rest of the time it sits in a heated garage under a silk cover.
It had 43,400 miles when I got it. It has now got 50,500 miles. It only covered 108 miles last year before going into storage whilst I was having building work done.
A quick run down on spec.
Volk Racing EMU 16x8+16x7 wheels in pristine condition.
Cusco Zero 2 3 way adjustable coilovers with pillow ball top mounts. Bought new.
Blitz Nur Spec exhaust. Bought new.
Hayward and Scott de-cat. Bought new. Still have original perfect cat.
Full glass out repaint in 2004 in Panther Black metallic.
Fully undersealed and cavity waxed when first brought into country.
Much much more.
Exclusively run on Optimax and V-power. I have every receipt!
I am an Audi Master Technician so is fair to say it was built to a very high standard. I cannot post photos sadly which is a shame. I can email them on request.
Anybody out there looking for something a little bit special????

Christ how would you even price that.....?

With the way the prices are going I'd be tempted to keep it tucked up just a few more years.

Tricky one that! Probably worth mentioning that it has not got a dot of rust on it. It has black leather/alcantara interior. Passenger seat looks like new. It still looks new underneath. I used it as my wedding car in 2009 and it turned 50k miles that day. It had a few years unused but came out briefly last year. Never been to a racetrack or track day etc. I was 28 when I built it but am 41 now with different responsibilities. I feel bad seeing it and not using it!

To get a better idea of how clean and tidy your car is, wouldn't it be better to start by putting some decent photographs up? I appreciate you say you "can't" but it's very easy. There's a sticky telling you how. That way any potential buyers (I include myself in that) will be able to see for themselves...

Failing that, if you want to email what photos you have, to me and I'll post them on your behalf.

Just a thought.

How long till Puku comes along and buys it...? He buys everything!

This is a now extremely rare find.... surely for a collector rather than every day user. Surely what, 7-8k? Easy I'd have thought.

Hi everyone. I have taken some advice from an importer/exporter of high end Japanese machinery who I know well, he assures me there are very few left in this condition. Hi grade auction MR2 Turbo's are just not appearing for sale.

I have also been racking my brain thinking "what on earth would I replace it with?" Had numerous beastie cars but none are as "smiles per mile" as my Mr 2.

Might have to just sit tight for the minute.
Apologies for the late reply.

Thanks. It still gives me the same silly grin on the rare occasions it comes out that it did when I first saw it! I never get tired of looking at it! It's just a shame life is silly busy otherwise I would use it more!

I can understand your dilemma..

Same thoughts here about (NOT) selling my Rev3 1994 tin top Tubby.
Bought it in the UK in 2006 with only 54.000Km, is now at about 69.000Km and in storage since 2 years as I just have too many nice cars, cannot drive them all..

Have considered selling it, but fear it will be almost impossible to find a similar condition one if I ever would want another in the future.

So I let it sleep and will surely enjoy it again if in the nearby future I get the urge to drive it again..
