TRD replica in Pimlico

Post by Ben »

A late customer (delayed, not dead) meant I had an hour or so to kill in Pimlico this morning. Had a wander round towards the park and stumbled across this beasty:

Anyone here? :)

Hi Ben,

Yes that's mine and it is a 3VZ V6 goes like stink.

It's been rebuilt from the ground up, originally a rev 5 that needed some TLC which it got thanks to Patrick (Headcase) and Chris Wood (CDWood_2011).

The build thread is in my signature if you want to take a look. Thanks for the recognition BTW. :thumleft:

John. :D

That sounds meaty with the V6 under the hood. Love the kit on it, one of the nicest I've seen looking at the pics. Just having a read of the build thread, looks like you've put in a lot of work to get it where it is now..

Thanks Ant I really appreciate the kind words, it's been quite a project but really good fun all round - even at the times I thought it was going to break the bank :D - but I wanted it done properly so I only fitted the best I could find.

Since the build I've fitted a TRD Spoiler, Cobra bucket seats, a Mongoose Exhaust and some Works Equip wheels as they look almost the same as the original TRD. I'm also swapping out the vented inspection panels and turbo engine lid so it looks even closer. Popping it down to Headcase (Patrick) to have the work done and he's going to sort out some other painting and if all goes to plan the project should be pretty much finished this year.

.....unless of course I find a Supercharger \:D/
