Not a trader I know, but needs a shout for being a top bloke!!

Gave up his Thursday to help me fit a roll cage into my car (though I think it would be more accurate to say that I helped him as he did most the work!!).

Thanks very much Ash, got me back on track to have a finished car one day, although that day will be later now that I've seen your minimalist wiring....

just have this niggling thought that if I rip out the wiring, then the car will never get out of the garage again.

Still in the garage...

Yes, likewise Mike :)

I'm well chuffed with it, though we ran out of time to do the cosmetic part.

I'll be in touch with you at some point to pick your brains on that other piece of work we discussed :thumleft:

Nice work Ash, when you gonna come and refit mine :)

Of course I may need to get the car finished first.

Will do mate. Will be a couple of weeks I reckon. Would it help if I get the metal plates cut to shape before you come?

That would definitely make it quicker, if you cut them to be a reasonably snug fit inside the ends of the front mounts, then I'll seam weld them in for you :thumleft:

Can't remember, i left it in your car (passenger side), probably 1/8 inch steel.

If you're struggling don't worry- we can knock the pieces up together :thumleft:
