Re: [Mk2] [NA] Electrical door mirror adjustment plug.
Could somebody please just pop the door switch for the windows and mirrors and take a pic of the multiblock for the electric windows showing which wire goes where?
Re: [Mk2] [NA] Electrical door mirror adjustment plug.
The wiring should be the same in non retracting mirrors, there's only 1 extra wire to the switches for the retracting.
The wiring for the retracting part can be found in the knowledge base guide for retrofitting retracting mirrors

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Electrical door mirror adjustment plug.
Its exactly the same in the pictures in that link, just without the pink wire
Re: [Mk2] [NA] Electrical door mirror adjustment plug.
I'll be upgrading my mirrors to the retracting type shortly, so this is the plug on what is hopefully the correct cable for the job.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Electrical door mirror adjustment plug.
^ Thank you.
I'll have another go at this tomorrow.
That and the rear window guide, adjusted the front one so it seals at the edge of the t-bar but the rear part of the drivers window is sitting proud of the rubber so I'll have to lower the guide in the hope it seals.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Electrical door mirror adjustment plug.
Why have you got it like that though? there is 2 reference pictures showing you how to wire it.
Where you have the blue/green wire should be blank as that is where the pink (retracting mirror) wire would go, if you look on the mirror control switch it will be missing the pin (unless it has the retract button).
There should be 3 wires along the top row (blank for pink wire) and 4 below, pretty much as the pictures show.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Electrical door mirror adjustment plug.
If i remember ill look at the loom on my '93 turbo tomorrow and see if the wiring colours match yours
Re: [Mk2] [NA] Electrical door mirror adjustment plug.
You really are making this a lot more difficult then it actually is.
I know you don't have a pink wire unlike you I am actually looking at the pictures, I said you had a wire in the wrong place and it should be a blank/empty space and it is where the pink wire WOULD go.
Look at the picture posted by Pauln, all your wires are matching in colour apart from the one in the top right by the pink wire (which you don't have....) there is a blue/orange wire but it also has the brown/orangey bits going over the wire like your white one (on far left of your picture).
On your picture, Pauln's, the one I linked in the mr2oc thread and on the jap loom I have sat here all the wire colours are the same with the exception of the one mentioned above, not sure why only that same wire differs every time and the others don't.
Edit: Actually now I know, the wire that differs slightly is for pin 10 and it's the main power feed to the switch. It seems then while all the other wires where standard for the door loom the power feed differed between years/models.

That's right, I realise you need some new terminals on the end but have you tired plugging it in? just press the stripped ends in tight to get a connection and give the switch a go.

Nope, tried and tried and tried again.
Not a thing.
Need an auto spark or preferably the loom from inside the door with everything connected of possible.
I give up completely, it doesn't work, period.
