Work VS XX split rim alloys, 17x8, 17x9

Post by jimGTS »

Here i have for sale my old Work VS XX split rim alloys!!

Pretty darn rare these days to find a set suitable for the mr2, additionally the specs of these will also fit many other JDM cars that also require a staggered wheel setup.
Very special, originally very expensive and highly popular split rim just in time for the shows this summer!

17x8 et20 front
17x9 et24 rears.
Which make for a more extreme and flush looking fitment than your regular set of 17s.
All center caps present.

The wheels are stamped as having been manufactured in 1997, so technically old enough to buy a pint!
Please treat them to a good polish instead and enjoy!

I've been using these the past couple of years and the previous owner for many many more than that!

For the perfectionists, aside from a polish and a good scrub there is little else you need to do! Check the fitted pictures and see!

Only 'cons I can see is one of the fronts has previously had a small crack repaired and another has a minor knock, both imperfections on the inner edge. These happened before my time of ownership.
The rears to my eyes look fine and dandy aside from a small curb rash on 1 which can easily be smoothed out. Just trying to be as honest as i can.

The fronts do come with tyres fitted, however require replacing due to inner edge wear and their age.
The rears, don't have tyres, however if requested Id be prepared to offer up a pair of usable 245/35 falken 452s.

I've no idea how much to ask for these and I'm offering these up on the mr2 forums first before advertising elsewhere to a much wider market. So be quick if these interest you.

They are rare, very desirable, never come up for sale, but could use a little tlc to bring them to show condition, so don't miss out on this opportunity to own a sort after split rim!
Large items. So collection preferred (North Kent).

To note; no swaps

£950

I'd seriously re-think your price, these are FAR too cheap!

and advertise them on driftworks too..

Agreed, I wouldn't be letting these go for any less than 1k personally even without tyres.

Those offsets are pretty low, hows the fitment? Are you running coilovers?

Yep was running coilovers. Not that I can see you having any issues with struts or any coilover given the offsets.

Maybe wise to think about rolling the rear if you want to run very low on a 40 profile, otherwise shouldn't have any issues.
