Work Meister CR01 alloys and Yoko S-drive Tyres for sale

Post by coanda »

Edit: tyres now sold.

Hi,

I have put this here rather than the MR2 Mk.1 forum because these wheels will fit other vehicles (MX5 and old Golfs spring to mind).

I imported these wheels a few years ago (almost 2 years exactly). I saw them on the work wheels USA web site and had to have them. Unfortunately the Mk.1 hasn't made much in the way of progress over that time period so they've sat in their boxes untouched. I could now be putting that money to good use elsewhere so with something of a heavy heart, they are up for sale.

The lot consists of:

4 x Work Meister CR01 Alloy Wheels (A disk, 15 x 7.5 +29 4x100) (Polished centres and barrels).
4 x hub reducers to suit MR2 Mk.1 (60mm to 54.06mm)
4 x Work metal tyre valves
4 x CR01 Hub caps (these are optional)
4 x sheets of unused transfers for the wheels
16 x polished M12 x 1.5 Lug Nuts
4 x Yokohama S-drive tyres (205 50 15 86V) purchased much later than the wheels.

It's all unused and as-new in original boxes except tyres.

I'm looking for £1300 for the package. I'm based near Chippenham but work in Bristol. I would greatly prefer to do the deal in person, but if that is impossible then postage will be at buyers cost(and I'll find out what it'll be nearer the time).

I'll be listing these elsewhere as well as here.

If anyone wants to see any other pics just let me know.

This what they look like on a Mk.1 (and Lil Red is a lovely car over on JDM Style Tuning):

Priced as they are because they are unused, come with a set of new good tyres and are hard to get hold of at short notice - there are none on ebay until my set go up!

Now £1200 with tyres, but also on ebay

Cheers,

coanda

I think you've just got a very small market to aim at. There are very few people prepared and able to spend that kind of money on wheels for a mk1, due to the price level, those that can spend the money have a wide variety of other options open to them so you're then looking for someone who has the money but who also wants these exact wheels rather than anything else.

From the point of view of 'the most number of people with money to spend' the VW crowd would probably be your most likely market although I don't know enough about that scene to know whether the style of these wheels fits with what they want.

If you want to get good money for them then you're just going to have to get as many people as possible to see them (maybe an ebay BIN?) and wait for the right person to come along which could take time.

CalMac - very sorry, I didn't have this set to send me an email when I got a reply, and work has kept me away.

I'd be looking at a £1000 inc delivery.
