[Mk2] [NA] Intermittent alarm problem.

Post by BALDYMONSTER »

Uk spec rev2, L reg.

Clifford concept 300 fitted.

Approximately one week ago I came out and the horn was blasting away when I tried to disarm it. Not the usual clifford alarm but the cars horns blasting intermittently.

Would switch off with key fob and had to use the key to get in and when the key was in the position it stopped but then the car wouldn't work.

So the rac turn up and he goes through everything from back to front.

Finds a problem with the starter relay in the boot.

Black wire running from the relay and earthed and the car started fine.

Now. Since then I have disarmed the system with the clifford key fob and the bloody horn sounds non stop. Won't switch off with the job just wen I unlock the car and thankfully it seems to start now.

It sounds like a toyota standard fitment alarm system when the horn goes off and thankfully turning the key stops it and the car now starts.

It's only happened twice but I have a really it will get worse.

Now, should I investigate for the standard alarm system and just disconnect it all?
