[Mk2] [NA] Stereo fitting

Hi all, im trying to fit my kenwood stereo which i have done using the brackets etc but it sits flush with the dash so i cant fit yhe surround trim to it, what have others done?

I had the same problem with my Kenwood. I used a Dremel to modify the screw holes on the mounting brackets so that the stereo could sit a few mm forward.
