MegaSquirt ECU

I know there have been some US MR2s with a MegaSquirt ECU but has anyone done it with their mk1 UK spec (NA or SC)? I know there are certain differences between the US and UK mk1s that make it more difficult but has anyone succesfully made the switch? What benefits could we expect to see?

I don't think there will be any significant differences in set-up, if any thing ours will be easier to do. The megasquirt is setup with a MAP sensor so it would be a straight plug in to the existing plumbing. The US spec does have a lambda sensor but you could get an import manifold from Fensport for £35 IIRC and wiring up a sensor wouldn't be difficult.

As far as performance benefits, it depends on what other mods you're doing. If none you could remap to get the same benefits as Unichip.
