With the 1.5 gone [Sad]
new project must take place..
A deal was done with the 1.5 its gone to ayresboy on here for a full restoration to be done [thumleft] [thumleft] [thumleft]

I am and wanting to do many trackdays
As i have the Focus ST is the best road car and family car..
so the mk3 is going to be a tracktoy..
when it arrived last night..

saying goodbye this afternoon

This is how it looked this afternoon

even as a tracktoy i still like my cars shiney and clean.. so couple of hours for a quick clean up and polish.. and a wax.. no idea when it last had a wax bless it..

taz lives on

wheels are as normal with a mk3 pretty shot..

so my old trusty 16's will be going on..

it does not show how well it came up due to it being dusk but its miles better

work to be done.. full service, fit 16's with new tires, new 02 sensor
and lightweight it..

Nice one Pete, will be keeping tabs on this. Not a massive fan of the MK3, but interested to see what you do with it. [thumleft]

I've got a growing soft spot for MK3's, especially ones that get driven properly. Will be keeping my eye on this.

Have you seen the MK3 TTE Turbo on PistonHeads by any chance?

Well its been a stressful couple of days with kelly tearing her cornea in her eye across her pupil

So been looking after her lots while trying to get the mr2 sorted for the 1st feb..
I have managed to get the brake pads changed and brake fluid changed to 5.1, gave the interior a good clean as it was rather revolting.
Re-fitted the exhaust manifold with new toyota gaskets, new toyota spark plugs and new cat o2 sensor
Fitted the 16's temporarily until the 15's tires come through as don't want to drive round on arrow speeds
Also painted the calipers

It was ready for its first run out
Which unfortunately was take kelly up to see the eye specialist
firstly she is on the mend, lots of pain but getting better

The mk3, well a bit of a disaster, it drove badly [Sad] coughing and spluttering no power..
Got home, a quick all to Peter Gidden [thumleft]
Then got out my new OBD reader.. o2 sensor another one..

Decided it would be best to change both of them, found out SC do standard toyota denso ones for £45
so went in the ST and picked them up

Fitted.. and what a difference, pulls really well i like it a lot. Can see its going to be a lot of fun on track

It needs the 15's though and defo needs an alignment..

Then this happened..

I was going to go full race car decals.. but seemed wrong as its not, its a cheap bit of fun tackday car, thats all out to be a good laugh.. so we thought this would give everyone a laugh.. also stops it being so yellow and girly

Going to be a lot of fun on track and give the marshals something to giggle at

love this

all a bit of fun

Now for getting as many miles as i ccan under its belt before its first trackday friday
