UK Rev 5 mk2 GT Coupe::

Post by ceejay »

Hi all, been looking around this forum for quite a while now looking at what i should look out and look for in geting a mr2.

i have now finally purchased and very clean black Rev 5 N/A with some small mods including (lazy eye, stainless steel exhaust with bolt on cat, and sitting on some 17inch rims (not sure on the make yet)

i will upload some photos of it tomorrow and im sure i may have some question to ask on here as im new to the mr2 scene!

Cheers

Craig

Cheers guys! its unbelievable how good the paint is on the car! cant see a scratch in sight! however this makes me even more cautious on where to park it!

i bought a touch up pen set from halfords the other day in my paint code just in case!

Cant wait to get to some shows! as im new to the JAP scene my previous cars were all German!

Car looks great :thumleft:

As to the boot, 3 main possibilities...
- Spoiler gaskets/holes.
- Rear lights
- Grommet on boot floor under the carpet.

been a while since ive updated this.. so id thought id share the progress all for Japfest!

Thanks to Hoagy (Top Bloke) i have finally fitted the HSD Mono pros! here is a cheeky picture from today!

Image

and as the workshop was abit in the sticks it needed a good wash!

Image

things left..
Order tyres for the Blitz and get them fitted (fingers crossed with not rubbing)
Have a small tinker with the ride height get get rid of the (barry boy rear rake)
Give it a good clean and polish and hope its gets to japfest in one piece!!

Will see most of you there!

This was sat behind me for the 3 1/2 hour queue to get into Japfest. Very nice, clean car and the wheels have really transformed it :thumleft:

cheers Donato picture looks sick!! shame yours was not made in time!

Thanks simba! that queue was so long! never had to wait over 3 hours to move 4 miles it was terrible! as i said in your thread the noise yours made was insane!

i was very impressed with how well the mr2's cooling system worked.. never had any overheating problems throughout the whole day 120 mile drive to be suck in traffic for 3 hours and the temperature stayed at the normal area! i think i've bought a good'en!!
