[Mk2] [Turbo] S2000 Aerial Fitted

Post by Nic »

Sourced an S2000 aerial assembly from a breakers, here are a few pics. It was a straight swap for the stock retractable aerial, just need to buy an aerial lead extension and wire in the power for the built in signal amplifier.

The lead is about 10-15cm too short because the plug on the new aerial points inwards towards the boot whereas the plug on the stock aerial points forwards.

Thanks for the offer, I'll see if I can pick up a short extension lead at Halfords tomorrow.

The wing had water trapped inside so removed it to dry it out, need to sort out some gaskets/seals so I can refit, it's on the list of jobs to do :D

I've not put the Rev 5 wing back on yet but should be fine as it sits in the same location as the stock aerial. Not sure about the early model wings, the aerial is a little thicker - 22mm diameter at the base of the flexible aerial mast narrowing to 10mm further up - so may not be compatible.

Do a search on Ebay, new masts are quite cheap on there.
