TOTB 2011

Post by craig_mr2_mk1 »

Is anyone organising a Team for TOTB this year? After 2 years of building my car, it's finally finished and ready too go & I'd like to enter with the Mr2 team if there's going to be one.

Craig, I spoke to Mitch about this a while ago and unfortunately does not have the time to dedicate to it at present.
Would you be up for organising an IMOC team with my support?

I've never been to TOTB before so I don't know if you want someone with a bit more experience of the event to organise it? If not then I'll give it ago Scott. I used to do Events for my local club, Now a Mod so have more free time.

Who would be interested

Anyone else? We'd need at least 5 to make it worth it I think.

In all honesty I think there's little chance of us having a full team?
We'd need at least half a dozen people to post as interested.

Would it be worth maybe sticking something up in the MK2 section asking if there's anyone else who would want to join the team? I'm not sure if many people are coming into this forum and reading this.

Craig.

i could be up for it however i know there used to be a minimum 1/4 mile time for each class, not sure if that is the case again this year. my 2 is as yet untested so not sure of its 1/4 mile capabilities 420whp and 380ftlbs so i would put it mid 12's at a guess.
did TOTB a few years ago with the rolla and it was a great day really enjoyed it.

OK guys the deal is this.
Entries are now all on line, so you'd need to register with the TOTB website and then click their competitor entry form...and pay of course.
www.totb.co.uk

It's actually quite a late 18th July cut off for team entries.
So if we're going to do this we need a team name we'd all register under
(suggest IMOC MR2?) and I think at least 5 definite entries.

So who's up for it?
