It's the midrange on them that's impressive - 288lb ft of torque.

I had a play with one of them, rolling start along dual carriageway,

I was appeox a car length behind and there I stayed didn't gain did'nt loose either!

We went from about 30 to a slow 100, and ran out of road.

Dont think he was best pleased, and to be honest I wasn't

I had some git tailgaiting me on the motorway a couple of months back. Stuck my foot down to get away from him, and left him quite easily! I slowed down to let him pass a bit later on, and it turned out to be a 330cdi convertible (if I recall correctly), looked pretty new too.

Thought those 3 litre modern diesels were great m/w criusers? Anyway, we had a little play a bit further on, and still no contest - even up a long hill!

When I finally slowed down to sensible speeds ready to take my junction, he cruised passed without even a look my way - I don't think he was too happy!!

Then again, I am pushing 280ish bhp and about the same in torque in my moded tubby...

If anyone went to TOTBIII this year, they would have seen my mates Black 330sd go down the strip just before they broke for lunch.

It pulled a 1/4 mile in 14.4 secs and Terminal speed of 98.2MPH.

That was with One CAT removed and M Power chip.

Quite a good machine from 60MPH. This one has now been DYNO'ed with 250BHP and 500lbs of torque.......can keep with a GT3 from 80
