IMOC F1 Simulator Challenge 2009

Post by rossdymond3352 »

So you love driving/racing? But don't want to risk your pride and joy on the track?...Then this is for you.

Professional racing simulators, over 800 cars, 100's of tracks, running on the best racing simulators available.

Blast round silverstone in an F1 car from the 60's, nurburgring in a Caterham R500 in rFactor, Laguna Seca in a LeMan car, Drift in Live for Speed, the possibilites are endless.

I propose to organise a day long championship for IMOC'ers based at "The Drivers Challenge" Chandlers Ford, Hants.

The venue is run by a friend of mine and I have been a member for some time.

The event would be pretty much an all day event, on the following format:

Briefing
Practise
Qualifying
Up to 20 Indiviual Races
Bubbly & Trophies
Beer at the nearest pub :)

Maximum Numbers would be around 20 due to the ammount of pods available and the ammount of time needed for each race to be completed.

As far as costing goes, I would need to make sure, however I would expect approx around £40-£45 per person, which really is a snip for a full days entertainment.

I would like to make this a regular occurance should enough people be interested and would like to form a monthly league for members.

I need to gather names first, then i can move on to secure dates/costs

Please add your names to to the list...more info can be found here

I remember seeing a flyer for this place last year, looks like a cracking idea, just a shame it's so far away otherwise I would have been keen.

Hey Ross, we've been considering The Driver's Challenge as a possible group event on hampshirejapcars.co.uk.

I might be up for this as it would be good for a reccy! (and to make contact with your mate/staff)
