Hmm - a DECATTED rev 3 passed? Is it a pre 95 model then, or are you friendly with the garage?

Just wondering if my 96 rev 3 would have any chance of passing an mot without a cat....

Yeah, I know the feeling mate! It's great when your car passes. Mine sailed straight through.

The mechanic doing my MOT said the emissions on my 1990 de-catted, Nur spec'd MR2 were low enough to nearly pass a CAT test!!! :D

won't a 96 be a rev4 or possible rev5?

Fizzy, anything on or after 01/08/1995 requires CAT test unless you have a friendly MOT tester. Mines a March 1995.

I didn't expect it to fail but it's always a relief when you hear the words "OK, it's passed". :D
Especially when I've just spent £238 on 2 tyres and £160 on a new radiator.
