After much debate, discussion and cans of cider. Got to thank Paula Woods and Johnny G and Gouky (for sourcing, collecting, packing and shipping) for knocking some sense into me. I decided, well was told to go 2GR. Had to really, 300 + bhp out the box in n/a flavour.
1mz pre supercharged pic.
Anth from Woodsport agreed to oversee the swap in return for a mountain bike, some sexual favours and a pot noodle. Paula and her trousers were also at hand in case we needed a cup of coffee.
So out with the eer new and in with newer!
The 2GR dressed up, Goukys headers and mounting kit. I have to say the workmanship on the headers and mounting kit is second to none.
2GR.
Engine hung.
Subframe, drivedhafts, hubs, brakes hd wheels back on.
Engine ensconsed No plumbing or wiring done. Car is ready to go up to A.A.S. Newcastle for an exhaust and mid section.

Give you 6 months and you will be screaming for a supercharger/turbo fitted to it. Looks very nice. Need a clear engine lid to put it on show mate.

Hi Allan, I hoping that it will be in the next month. Just had a custom exhaust and mid section made up. Needs the wiring and plumbing doing now. Also waiting on a few parts.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] 2gr
Sorry it's been so long, I've had a lot going on recently.
Bit of elbow grease.
Need to paint the strut brace red and the fuse box cover. Might have an issue with the strut brace clearance.
Jay took some pics of the engine bay today.
Ohh got some low rise quad lights as well!

Hi JJ how's things? It got to a point where to get more power it would mean internals, splitting the engine etc. Paula (Woods) said it would be daft to split an engine that had only done 13k. The 2gr comes in where the 1mz tops out.
I haven't a clue about wiring Paula very kindly helped me out
I'll drop you an e mail in the week mate, bring you oop to speed.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] 2gr
Hi Kris how's tricks mate? There is a guy over on Two Brutal developing a supercharger kit. One stumbling block is getting an ecu to handle the vvti. Hopefully he's got round this.
