Hi,
Have a slight leak (pinhole) on one of the coolant pipes that goes around the steering rack and into the frunk. Is it possible to get this out without dropping the steering rack?
Thanks
Jim

Yep, I seem to remember replacing mine without having to take anything major off the car.
Re: underside to frunk heater matrix pipes
Good to know, I have guessed it probably wouldn't go.
I'll keep a look out for some in good nick.
I'll Prob make something up from rubber pipe and connectors (or perhaps sleeve the pinhole) for now.
Cheers

Re: underside to frunk heater matrix pipes
I replaced mine with 90 degree shaped rubber pipe from my local rubber specialist shop. (Williams Rubber Norwich) I didn't need to move anything out the way. I just cut out the offending piece and pushed the new pipe on. I did both pipes whilst I was down there.
Re: underside to frunk heater matrix pipes
I tried at Saturday to get out the 2 small pipes without dropping the steering rack - there was no success. I could clean the surface from a rust with a sandpaper and connect new rubber hoses to the cut steel pipes which I cut myself - they had two 5 mm holes. Now all the system functions good without leakages. I am not sure how long the two small pipes will exist without rust. Could somebody (LimeyMk1) explain how is it possible to get them out of the car for future troubles?
