Here's a short selection I had at hand, as ripping them from my dvd was so easy on the Mac (unlike Windows Movie Maker which constantly crashes )
People often ask why I have a camera running, these clips should help answer that (in particular, the roundabout ones which could so easily go 50/50 without proof)...

I'm not really an advocate of violence but some people really do need the crap kicking out of them.
I have an in car system for exactly the same reason.

I'm interested to know which of those video's contained a driver that you think needs the crap kicking out of them?

AOL.
It's the kind of thing that we all encounter. The white van man was neither here nor there. The others, well people make mistakes. Annoying? Yes, frustrating, yes. We all know that most people don't really give any consideration to how they drive.
But it's all a bit meh really.

It's a small CCTV harddisk recorder. If I were to get one now I'd get a solid state one

It actually was rubbish when I bought the car years ago, but it's actually pretty good now (very loud with windows open) - but it gets used almost daily
Re: A few driving videos
Those 4 vids are just ridiculous.
Pees me off just watching them.
I've been driving for 14 years and have only ever had 1 accident which was my fault (in my 2nd year of driving).
My MR2s have been hit 4 times, none of which were genuinely not my fault. Makes me think seriously about rigging up a camera in my 2 permanently!

Re: A few driving videos
Looks like my home streets to be honest -see worse than this all day long when I'm home. It's pretty normal.
Saggering isn't in it. Just never thought of strapping a video camera to catch it before....?!!
...funny thing -it's an absolute JOY for me to drive down south (midlands or south) -the standard of driving is just SO much better albeit the congestion is worse than up here. Pretty much anything south of the M74 everything seems to get a tad more rationale on the roads.

Re: A few driving videos
There first two were a little indifferent, the white van just changed his mind and didn't think, the people carrier was blindsighted by the flatbed van turning off the road.
The VW however, he/she must have been able to see you from 100 yards or so, that's just very poor judgement

I don't want a camera in mine, don't want any evidence of me beating to death with their own shoes the person who damaged my car
I am going to live forever, or die trying!
Re: A few driving videos
perhaps listening to music like that served you right
all very lucky escapes, especially the one on ice!
jeeez! some people!
Re: A few driving videos
Really good videos there, certainly a useful tool to consider...
Non of that suprises me though should imagine people encounter that sort of stuff onquite often....

Re: A few driving videos
There are numpties everywhere. Experience can often give you a sixth sense when someone is going to do something daft.
I would always be wary of running alongside another vehicle round a roundabout and especially so with white van man!! No matter what indication they're giving.
Looking at the first junction vid, the people carrier is visible at 0:05 approaching the main road. So we know he's there.
The situation was not helped by the artic slowing to let him out. If he had gone for it as soon as the truck changed direction I suspect there would have been no close call.
Probably too busy looking at the artic thus left it too long before deciding to emerge.
The driver at the second junction needs to go to Specsavers. I see this a lot.
People driving up to the stop line and quite unable to judge the distance/speed of an approaching vehicle before pulling out.
If you're going to commit, hesitation will nearly always make things worse. Better not to do dumb stuff in the first place of course.
But we're human. And humans are fallible.
In-car video is a very good optional extra. Of course it will capture any indiscretion of yours as well..........!

Mistakes I can accept, but stupid avoidable mistakes... no.
Here's a few that I wouldn't class as 'mistakes', but deliberate...
Porsche Boxster overtaking me whilst I'm signalling to turn right, nearly has a head on smash.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eC6HpXz3JmA
Flying through the lights (late amber), clearly deliberate as they go into the lane I would have been in if I had their attitude.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqlyzQ_HM0s
This one doesn't look too bad, but due to traffic up ahead I found out that this driver was texting!

Roundabout.

Cyclist

Here's a couple that I wouldn't class as deliberate or mistakes, just completely retarded...

Re: A few driving videos
Sure, but we see these kind of things all the time. Does it make it acceptable? No of course not, but this is the standard of driving we see on the road.
