Goodridge brake and clutch hoses, Goodridge hose and fitings

Post by bobhatton »

I have had a Goodridge trade account since back in the early 80s when I was making all my nitrous oxide systems. With the discount I get I could offer 25% off most of the equipment Goodridge make. If anyone is interested please let me know what you are after and I will see what I can do.

The brake lines come with a clear cover with Goodridge printed on it, or you can have any of the following colours.
Black, Carboline, Electric blue, Orange, Green, Red, Solid blue, Yellow.

For zinc-plated steel ends.

MR2 SW20 (STY0010-4-P)
1 set brake hoses delivered to your door £96.76

MR2 Mk1 (STY0005-4-P)
1 set brake hoses delivered to your door PM for price

MR2 Spider (STY0015-4-P)
1 set brake hoses delivered to your door PM for price

1 Clutch line delivered to your door PM for price

Goodridge make the kits up to order and state 7 to 10 days for delivery but in the summer it can take longer

Please only PM orders to me or to ask for my email address and postal address.

What other pipe work would you like in Braided hose?

Thanks

Bob

I presume that's pump -> filter and filter -> fuel rail. That's certainly the 2 braided hoses that EMSPowered sell.

Ok, filter to fuel rail should be no problem, will have a patten for that over the weekend. If I get my fuel tank out also will have the patton for the pump to filter too. Now if the flow lines are going up to -6 then the return line should go up in size too.
Is -6 the line size every one needs? I am going to use -8 flow and -10 return but that will be for 500hp+

i would go for the hose that would be big enough to support over 500bhp. as my car is going for a re-build later this year

You will have to sort out your fuel system, pumps and filters etc, fuel rail FPR etc. Once you know all that we can sort out hoses and fitings.

If you read the first post you will see that there is a fixed 25% discount off the full retail Goodridge price. This price is for one off or ten off.
If you would like a set please PM me with what you want.

Thanks

Forgot to say - items received in a speedy fashion considering they are made to order and they look really good! Yet to fit them but upon a visual inspection the quality is excelent and doesn't reflect the discounted price at all :)

Thanks Bob!

PS Can you give me a shout when you've got fuel lines sorted as I'll have a set of those too. No rush though!

Great, glad you got them ok.

I have my fuel tank out now, just waiting for my Bosch 040 pump to come and I will take everything up to Goodridge and get things going, should be later next week I hope.

Excelent. I think I'd be looking at 2 -6 send hoses (pump to filter and filter to fuel rail) and 1 -8 return line. I'll be using a Walbro 255l pump and for now, the stock fuel rail and FPR.

Hi mate, could you get me a price on the following fuel lines...

AN -8 long enough to reach from the tank all the way to the boot!!
AN -8 small section say 15"? to reach from pump to rail.
AN -6 return line from rail to tank

Do you supply the fittings too? do the hose end fittings have to be specially pressed onto the line, or is it a simple thing i can do at home??

thanks bud.

I can get the hose and reusable ends so you can fit them yourself. For fuel lines I like to use steal ends, but you may want to use aluminium.
I could do with some more info like what pump or pumps you have, filter, rail, regulator etc. I would not use hose clips or any push on fittings. What is at your tank end?
I am up at Goodridge on Tuesday with a complete MR2 fuel system so we will sort out what is needed then.

FYI the fuel pump has a solid metal pipe that runs some length of the fuel tank. Like this:

http://www.lovehorsepower.com/images/Fu ... cover1.jpg
http://www.lovehorsepower.com/images/Fu ... nected.jpg

However I'm not sure what the hardpipe terminates in.

I have seen a few wolfkats PDFs here:
http://www.wolfkatz.com/Articles/WolfKa ... Report.pdf

and here:

http://www.wolfkatz.com/Articles/MR2%20 ... Report.pdf

comparing injector use vs fuel pump usage which suggests the stock pipework is good for a decent hike in fuel pressure.

Of course I expect them to be biased but there will be some truth in there.

Yes I have got that off my tank now. I am going to do away with that pipe and take the hose right into the tank with a flange fitting, and do the same with the return.

thanks
